Last week saw the first two sky gardens in place at our 2 Trafalgar Way scheme for Urbanest. These balconies complete the expressive form of the spandrel banding, and once planted, will create a vertical rhythm of Sky Gardens that scale the façade of the two tallest buildings.
The shared kitchen & dining spaces within each student cluster will overlook the Sky Gardens, supporting both student wellbeing and an ambitious approach to urban greening. Designed to be the tallest Passivhaus residential scheme in Europe with three towers of 28, 36 and 46 storeys respectively, the scheme will provide a total of 1,672 student beds and 80 residential apartments.
A four-storey podium will also include 43,000 sq.ft. of commercial office space, an incubator for local business start-ups and ground floor retail units.
